Swarthmore Care Home is set in beautiful, landscaped gardens in the desirable village of Gerrards Cross, where there are many opportunities for residents to enjoy a variety of cultural and leisure pursuits.
The care home provides respite, convalescent and palliative care to residents aged from 65 & to those living with a physical disability or sensory impairment.
We are an independent 40 bedded Care Home, established for over 70 years & we pride ourselves on providing a safe and homely environment where the unique needs of each individual are recognised.
This is a varied role, and one that is at the heart of our home, enhancing the lives of our residents. You will join our existing Activities Coordinator & together you will plan and provide a programme of weekly activities, with a person centered & flexible approach, tailoring activities to the specific needs of our residents.
Where no two days are the same, ideally you will be full of ideas & initiative, bringing fun and energy, along with your sense of humour to enhance the lives of our lovely residents with meaningful activities. Proficient with IT & technology, with the ability to produce the weekly activities schedule and to support our residents with Skype/WhatsApp video calls to family & friends.
Car driver essential, for trips out. Occasional Weekend/Bank Holiday working.
We are a short walk from Gerrards Cross High Street, the train station, bus routes & have onsite parking.
