A December to Remember 🎄
December has been a busy month filled with preparation, celebration, and togetherness. Our residents embraced the festive spirit from the very start, decorating beautiful baubles for the Christmas tree and showing their artistic flair through seasonal paintings and floral arrangements inspired by Christmas.
We were delighted to accept an invitation from Beaconsfield School to their annual Senior Party. The afternoon was very special, with children singing festive songs and serving a themed afternoon tea. What a treat — and what a pleasure to be part of such a heartwarming event.
Back at home, our Christmas Gathering brought together residents, staff, families, and friends. The sound of carols filled the air as everyone enjoyed mince pies and warming mulled wine, making it a wonderful celebration of community and festive cheer.
A special thank you goes to St Mary’s School, GX, for delivering Christmas gifts to our residents. This thoughtful tradition is such a lovely idea and was genuinely appreciated by everyone.
We also enjoyed a magical day out at Waddesdon Manor, admiring the history and splendour of Christmas throughout the house — a truly memorable experience.
Well done to Avril for devoting her time to Swarthmore over the last 20 years.
To round off the month, our Christmas Quiz brought plenty of laughter and friendly competition, providing the perfect ending to a busy and festive December.
