Connecting with the Community
We’ve enjoyed meeting friends old and new through our regular visits to Get Set 4 Tennis and gatherings at the local library.
Tea, Music, and Memories
Residents were treated to a lovely Friday afternoon with Tea & Memories. Windsor Lodge Care Home joined us for an engaging session of storytelling and conversation, followed by afternoon tea served in delicate bone china — what a delight!
We also enjoyed a trip to the White Hill Centre in Chesham, alongside residents from Portobello Place Care Home and members of the local community. The afternoon was made extra special by Chiltern Music Therapy, who brought everyone together through the joy of music.
Special Celebrations
This month also brought milestone celebrations for one of our residents, who reached a very special age! Family and friends joined in for an afternoon of music and entertainment. We also celebrated our work experience student Ben’s birthday — a wonderful moment shared by all at the home.
Diwali Delights
To mark the Festival of Lights, our carer Dot beautifully modelled traditional saris, giving residents the chance to admire the vibrant colours and learn more about this joyful celebration.
Back to Basics
An trip down memory lane using the old Singer sewing machines. It seemed liked yesterday as some residents turned the wheel of the machine. Smiles and conversations all round. Thanks to Fariha, one of our carers for giving up her time to assist with the session.
What a month it’s been — full of creativity, connection, and community spirit. We can’t wait to see what next month brings!
