September Activities

Celebrations, Music & Memories

This summer has been one to remember at our care home, filled with sunshine, laughter, and wonderful activities for our residents and their families. From milestone birthdays to animal therapy visits, every week has brought something new to enjoy.

A 100th Birthday to Remember

One of the highlights was celebrating the 100th birthday of one of our lovely residents.  A birthday treats to remember with family, friends, staff and residents.

Music Therapy

We enjoyed live music and entertainment. Gary Roman wowed the audience with his Elvis tribute and classic favourites, while Nicky brought back the sounds of the 50s and 60s. The room was filled with singing, dancing, and plenty of smiles — a true celebration of life and togetherness.

Pet Therapy

Animal therapy continues to be one of our most popular care home activities. Regular visits from our therapy dogs brought comfort and companionship, sparking happy memories and offering residents the option of stroking and cuddling a furry friend.

Ark Farm visited with a wide variety of animals. Residents were able to hold rabbits, guinea pigs, and ducks, stroke larger animals such as a donkey and sheep. Sitting in the sunshine while enjoying hands-on animal experiences was a truly special way to spend the day.

Nostalgia & Entertainment

Our Business Manager, Adam, delighted residents with a traditional Punch & Judy show. This timeless seaside favourite encouraged everyone to reminisce about childhood holidays and learn more about the history of this classic performance.

Arts & Crafts with NAPA

As part of the NAPA Arts & Crafts 2025 Going Green Project, residents explored their creativity with eco-friendly craft activities. Arts and crafts sessions are always a highlight, offering a wonderful way for older adults to stay engaged, social, and expressive.

Reflecting on a Wonderful Summer

Looking back, we’ve been blessed with beautiful weather and so many happy moments. From milestone resident celebrations to meaningful activities, this summer has been filled with memories to treasure. As Autumn approaches, we look forward to embracing cosy days indoors — with plenty more music, crafts, and companionship to enjoy.
